Frequently Asked Questions

Questions Parents Ask

Question 1: What's the difference between Elite Camp and the Pro Development Programme?

The Pro Development Programme is a full-time, year-round commitment for players aged 17–21. The Elite Camp is a short-term, high-intensity experience during school holidays for players aged 14–19. Think of the Elite Camp as the proving ground — perform well here, and you may be invited into TTA's full development pathway.

Question 2: Is this suitable for my 14-year-old?

Yes. The camp is designed for ages 14–19 and coaching is adapted to age and development level. Younger players train in the appropriate group and are supervised throughout. The residential option includes 24/7 staff presence and pastoral care.

Question 3: What's the difference between residential and non-residential?

Residential campers live on campus with meals, accommodation, supervision, excursions, and study time included. Non-residential campers commute to campus for training sessions and matches. Transport from designated pick-up points is available at additional cost for non-residential players.

Question 4: Will my child's schoolwork be affected?

Camps run during school holidays specifically to avoid academic disruption. For residential campers, afternoon study time is built into the daily schedule so any holiday assignments or revision can continue.

Question 5: Can my child be scouted or offered a place in the full academy?

Yes. The Elite Camp is a merit-based entry point. Players who demonstrate exceptional ability and commitment during the camp may be invited to trial for or join TTA's Pro Development Programme, or be put forward for International Pathway opportunities. This is earned through performance, not guaranteed by registration.

Question 6: Is my child safe on campus?

Yes. The campus has 24/7 staff presence for residential campers. All training is supervised by qualified, licensed coaches. On-site medical and physiotherapy support is available throughout the camp.

Question 7: Can international players attend?

Yes. International players register through the same form. After registration, our team will be in touch to assist with logistics including travel, visas, and what to bring. The residential option is typically the best fit for international campers.

Question 8: What does my child need to bring?

A full kit list is provided after registration. Training gear and match kit are supplied by TTA. Personal items, school materials, and any specific medical needs should be brought from home.
